What is the best beach in melbourne? |
Travel Info What is the best beach in melbourne? Travel Tips Close to the city, but without syringes (St Kilda beach is a bit.. interesting) you're best beach would probably be Brighton/Elwood (south-east of the CBD), however, they are bay beaches, so there are limited waves.. If you're after surfing - Phillip Island and the coast along the Great Ocean Road (runs west from Melbourne down the coast) are your best bets. Others i like st kilda's beach.. but best?? not sure.. melbourne doesn't have much beaches... St. Kilda preferably the one with sand and water Half Moon Bay in Black Rock. I think the best beach in Melbourne is the Brighton beach. The beach is much more cleaner than other beaches like South Melbourne, Frankston or St. Kilda beaches in Melbourne. Additionally, Brighton beach has several unique places around for you to see and enjoy if you were to bask and enjoy the sun or the lovely bay that surrounds Melbourne. Melbourne is situated in a Bay so there is no surf. While it's beaches are great for cooling down or for young kids, you really need to jump in a car and head outside of the Bay area to find a 'real' surf beach. Phillip Island in the East or Torquay in the West (and beyond those places) have beaches comparable to any in Australia. |
