Take the tram...Melbournes transport system is probably the quickest, cheapest, safest, and most organised of anywhere in Oz. You will find most uni students tram-it from Preston, even those going to RMIT and La Trobe Uni do. My son lived at Preston when he went to uni. It takes a while to drive, so it would be like a couple of hours to walk, then you have to add on what you are carrying and how fast you are walking. there is a tram and train that will take you to the city then you can get a tram straight to the door almost of melbourne uni. but walking would definatly be a couple of hours at the least. it takes me about 1 hour to walk about 8 ks with my dogs. i agree with cass |
