You decided the date of your wedding day but it has to be postponed to the next day because it was Grand Final day and if you have it on the day you wanted, NO ONE will show up at the church - and that includes the priest! Source(s): I might be exaggerating a bit about the priest - but this actually happened. NO - it wasn't my wedding but I went to a wedding once in Melbourne and it really was moved to the next day because the date picked initially was on the Grand final day.

When at 9.30pm, your just getting geared up for a big night and every thing is about to close except the bloody casino, where you have to be well dressed and get past the gorilla's at the door. Sydney's the way to go.
