Is it easy for skilled immigrants with UK degrees to get a job in Melbourne ? |
Travel Info II've heard that it may not be easy for immigrants to get a job in Australia since their degree is not an australian degree or not recognized. have an MSc Degree in a Computing Field from a decent UK uni and i am planning to move to Melbourne after 2 years of commercial experience .Would I have trouble finding a job there ? If your company has a connection in Melbourne, then may be a good idea to start sending your resume to the connections. If you are born in Australia with Australian qualifications and degrees you have better chance to gain employment. Immigrants find it lot tougher to gain employment especially from Asia and Indian subcontinent though western qualification and experience is given due consideration by some employers and agencies.
