What to wear when going out in melbourne ?? |
Travel Info I am 18 and i am going to melbourne on holiday soon i have heard that australians have a casual relaxed dress sense does this still apply when going out to a bar or club etc What to wear ?? Travel Tips well since im from melbourne, i have a pretty good sens of what to wear. right now it's winter and dresses with skivvys or shirts underneath are in worn with opaque stockings, round toed ankle boots or ballet flats, cardigans [preferably grey, as grey is this season's colour], coloured waist belts like red or blue or tan. if your going for the casual, just a pair of jeans, a top and a cardigan go well with guys, its pretty much just jeans, good runners or whatever and a winter sweater or something. Others Well, you may want to take a summer outfit, an autumn outfit, a winter outfit and a spring outfit along with you, as Melbourne is reknown for having 4 seasons in one day! Far Nth Queensland now! depends - can't tell by your name - are you male or female? Wear whatever you want! In melbourne you see some really outrages people! Some as colorful as a rainbow others all black. People wear anything and everything and noone looks at them weird. So just be yourself and wear whatever you please, Melbourne's a great place I love it and have fun! To answer your question more adequately, we still get dressed up to go out to a club or bar. Women wear dresses, skirts, nice pants with a funky top, men wear shirts, jeans. We're not so relaxed we wear shorts to a club! Wear whatever feels most comfortable! Check out Australian Cleo to see what kind of things we're wearing- http://cleo.ninemsn.com.au/cleo/default.... put it this way,you can't go wrong if you've got a trendy pair of jeans and a nice top/ t shirt depending on if your a boy of girl also with a good pair of jeans you can dress them up or go with a casual look depending on the bar/night club you are going to. |
