Brighton Beach Melbourne? |
Travel Info Hi, Im from Perth and I want to get out and visit the brighton bathing boxes and just generally relax around brighton. So I have 2 queries 1. How do I get from Melbourne into Brighton? train or tram, if so what number tram do I get on? 2. Are there any nice cafes or eateries near the Beach which might be worth seeing? Thanks in advance!! Travel Tips Hi, To get from Melbourne City to Brighton, You can take both Train and Tram. Train: Sandringham Line. You get off at the stop called "Brighton Beach" It is virtually opposite the beach. It is a small shopping town there as well. There are buses that go down the main road. Opposite the Brighton baths are some cafes. Lovely altho i haven't been for a few months. it is only 30 Min's time. To take a tram is a bit longer. the tram number would be 64. It goes to East Brighton, which is at Nepean Highway.(The end of that route) you would have to cross over the highway (at the lights - quite easy) and catch a bus (ventura- blue bus) down bay st, and Church st to the beach. That only goes to Middle Brighton, so you would have to walk down New st which leads into Brighton Beach. There could be a bus also that goes down there. But i am not sure. No where is it secluded, there are shops and people everywhere, so you could ask if you need to, also depending on the accommodation you are staying at, the room or at least reception should have maps, directories, even a melways, which is our street directory. I hope this is helpful to you. Good Luck and enjoy your stay here. Others I can't give you any more information than what graysunn has, that is everything you need to know |
