Is Melbourne better than Brisbane? |
Travel Info Is Melbourne better than Brisbane? Is there water shortage problems in Melbourne? Is Melbourne more expensive than Brisbane or same? Travel Tips I personally like Brisbane better. Melbourne can get the 4 seasons in one day and would be too cold for me in winter. Melbourne is rated high in the 'best shopping' places to be. Brisbane, more to do and the sunshine coast, gold coast isn't far away. Living expensive - I don't think it'll be much difference. Source(s): my two cents worth Other Travel Tips Melbourne is more $. Brisbane is FREAKIN HOT in the summertime and Air Conditionong is NOT standard equipment in most homes. Most of Aussie has water problems. Melb is more metro big city type and Brissy is more laid back counrty town type....just with a lot of people. gee too many questions - only joking! My opinion would be: Brisbane has a water crisis at present with level 5 water restrictions in place and probably get worse - NO RAIN! (send it down huey) - an aussie saying Melbourne I think has a water problem too - dont know exactly what water restriction they are on at present. Melbourne is more expensive and less nice than Brisbane We have a saying in Brisbane "beautiful one day , perfect the next " , if there is a positive side to the drought , it is a continuation of great weather . It is now 25 degrees and I am heading to the coast for a surf . I wouldn't dream of doing that in Melbourne , it would be freezing ! Next weekend I will go camping on Moreton Island and bushwalking . Brisbane , like almost evrywhere in Aus has water restrictions at present , it is less expensive and is a cosmopolitan city without the major congestion . Am I biased - YES ! I love it here ! Brisbane is far better than Melbourne to me, but it always depends on what kind of lifestyle you want. I moved here from England for a better climate and would never go back, yes it can be hot in Summer, but you soon acclimatise, most people here don't even own a coat. South East Queensland is where everyone wants to come for their holidays, they can't all be wrong. |
