I'm going to Melbourne for a holiday soon - can anyone recommend the best pubs/nightclubs etc to go to for a good night out.

Others

The best clubs and pubs are the inner city ones (inthe heart of the CBD or Southbank areas).
Even the 'dodgy' pubs and clubs in dark alley ways are good fun!
I am sure you will have a ball!
Everywhere in Melbourne is fun. No bad ones. Just a piece of advice, and please follow it. If you see someone going too drunk, of a scuffle breaking, STAY OUT OF THE WAY, or leave before it gets worse. Something is going to happen.

Except for bars nightclubs etc there is no nightlife in Melbourne.
Resturants close at 22:00 and shops are closing around 17:00.
The only exception is Safeway and Coles that are closing late.
