Travel Info a nice area for kids to grow up Travel Tips I agree with "loobyloo" that Williamstown is nice but the population epicentre of Melbourne is skewed to the south-east of the City consequently the southern beachside suburbs are more extensive and better developed than those to the northwest. Basically, if you find the Nepean Highway on the map at www.arta.com.au/vicmaps/melbou... any of the suburbs east of the Highway starting from Elsternwick heading south to Frankston would meet your needs.
