Has anyone stayed at The Nunnery, Fitzroy, Melbourne? |
Travel Info Travelling to Melbourne in a couple of weeks & wanting cheaper accommodation, and got details off web for The Nunnery. I am seeking feedback/review from anyone who has stayed there. Appreciate only genuine replies. Travel Tips It is next to a convent; that's where the name comes from. I get teacher trainees every semester and some of them have stayed there. Most were quite happy for a short term stay there (it's very nicely positioned, close to both the city centre and to Fitzroy - good place for young people). My last teacher trainee moved to another backpacker's after a day, though - she complained about lack of cleanliness . That's all I know about "the nunnery". Have a great time in Melbourne! Others Is it a convent? Sorry just kidding. I have lived in Melbourne for 26 years, and have never heard of it. I guess that says something? Fitzroy is not too far from the downtown city, but i will choose to stay downtown, because it is more convenience at night in my opinion. Victoria Motel is good location and cheap, but not good for single woman. too near the table dance club. if it won't bother you, then you can consider it. studied and lived in USA and Australia |
