Travel Info My target area are in Melbourne and i would like to know the house rental rate and the salary if i am working as an IT technician or a non executive jobs there. I am holding a diploma from malaysian local university. Also what are my chances to get a job there. Travel Tips G'day, Both previous answerers are abit harsh but not entirely wrong. It will be quite hard to compete to the locals where nowadays even a bachelor graduates find it hard to get their first jobs. Depending on which uni you got your diploma from, you might be considered equal to Australian Certificate or Diploma graduates. I have been working in the IT industry for over 7 years and I've seen demands in IT goes up and down. It is hard to predict how easy are you going to get a job with Malaysian Diploma qualifications. Please be advised that you also must be knowledgeble with VoIP technology and Cisco hardwares to be able to compete with the current young graduates. An MCP will be even better. Hope this helps. Sorry can't give you a good news, but I think it is better not to sugarcoat the truth. Maybe when you have upgraded your qualifications then try again.
