Coming to Oz fron Scotland in late Aug or early Sept. Flying into Melbourne, hiring car & need accom. for at least the first 2/3 nights before we set off to drive around the country. Looking for something semi-rural, self-catering, clean & cheap. did this once before but it was very expensive - hopefully will be able to do it cheaper this time.
Any suggestions?

You could try lookin on the website www.wotif.com.au, that has heaps of hotels and motels. Im not sure what you mean by self-catering? Is that like if it has a kitchenette that you can prepare your own meals? If so, this website will tell you what the rooms have. Also, you can get good deals on this site. Hope that helps and have fun in Oz!!! If you head up to Queensland (the best state!) stop by Bundaberg/Bagara, its heaps fun (and plenty of picking work for backpackers)!! |
