The 12 Apostles in Melbourne, Australia. Are there still 12? I thought it lost a few to the weather!? |
Travel Info My girlfriend is going to visit Melbourne just to see the 12 apostles. I told her I thought there are less than 12 now. Does anyone know how many stand today and what actually happened? She is disappointed. But I told her she should ask for a discount from her tour operator (for false advertising?) if there aren't all 12 standing there to welcome her! ha, ha.... :) :) Travel Tips i think there are only 8-9 left the drive is great but go in september so you can also see the whales Others G'day from Down Under. The 12 Apostles are lcoated on the Great Ocean Road, a spectacular coastal drive just south of the city of Melbourne in Victoria. No, there aren't 12 left - we lost another one about a year ago - just crumbled into the sea - it probably got tired after 70 million years! It is a truly beautiful drive (especially in a convertible) and they are an awesome spectacle. Your girl won't be disappointed! Cheers yes, some were lost. I think there are about 9 left |
