Cities to visit in Australia?

We are visiting Sydney and Cairns while in Australia for our honeymoon. We are trying to decide between two cities for our thrid city to visit in Australia. Which city is better to visit between Melbourne and Brisbane?

i would have to say brisbane, its much quieter then melbourne and has many tourist spots to see.

Try Brisbane, you will not be disappointed.
Melbourse is great, you will enjoy that one I did!!!!!
In Autumn or Winter I would choose Brisbane as you get much better weather and you are not far from some great beaches and resorts. For Spring or Summer I would choose Melbourne with all the festivals, plays, sporting events, shopping and the great ocean road and surf beaches such as Torquay and Bells Beach.
Brisbane is alot smaller then Melbourne but its still a decent sized city, I also think that Brisbane is a very Australian like city, If you like Green tree linened streets with big houses and a busy and cosmopolitan city full of shopping and fashion and exclusive restaurants then go with Melbourne just over 1 hours flight from Sydney.

Melbourne for sure.... it has a world renowned restaurant scene, great cafes, fantastic shopping at bargain and not so bargain prices, heaps of festivals year round, beautiful parks and gardens, museums and galleries, is the sport capital of Australia, and is easy to get around. So really, Melbourne has something for everyone! Brisbane is hot and humid. Other than that I don't know what Brisbane has to offer.
