What are the different climates in Australia?

Travel Tips
There are plenty of deserts away from the coasts of Australia. There is tropical rainforest in Northern Queensland. There is green farmland along most of the east coast. There are alpine areas suitable for skiing during the winter in the mountains of NSW and Victoria. There is wilderness, tall forests and jutting cliff faces in Tasmania.

Others
The range from tropical in the north to freezing in the south and in the mountains. There are deserts and rainforests. Name a climate - we have it (apart from an icecap)
Anything you would like, except for glaciers.
Can vary greatly...here in southern Victoria it's usually quite temperate but travel, say, 120 km north to the Wimmera and it can be noticably warmer in spring/autumn especially...
North is warm year round, south has warm summers and freezing winters, very extreme temperature differences.
