Minimum cash required in Australia? |
Travel Info My close friend is migrating to Australia. He has two children and a wife to support. His wife is a house wife. Currently he stays in UAE and would be migrating to Australia shortly as a migrant. He wants to know how much money (minimum basic) required for a family of four in Australia for food+electricity+clothing+scho... fees+house rent+medical+travel is required for a month. Please do not reply that "it all depends on your friend's spending". I just want to know a rough basic amount to lead a life for a starter in Australia. People who have recently migrated to Australia pl. understand the relevance of this querry and reply briefly. Thank you. Travel Tips All of this is based on family of 4 and is approx only Rent - $200 Food - $150 Electricity/Gas/Water - $50 School fees per YEAR between $200 for public school - $5000 private school Petrol - up to $80 to fill up a tank in ford falcon insurance - house $75 per month insurance - car - $600 per year It's making me sad to type all this, I can't go on! LOL Good luck! Others To live comfortably in Australia especially the cities where the cost of living is more expensive although the job opportunities are higher than regional centers my experience would suggest that a minimum of seventy five thousand dollars a year would see them through,, I suggest US 2,000 per month as an absolute minimum. US 3,000 would provide a comfort factor |
