Is it cheaper to drive or fly from Adelaide to Melbourne? |
Travel Info Just wondering what costs should be taken into consideration when planning a return trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. Does any one have some aproximate prices? Travel Tips It is cheaper to fly to Melbourne unless you want to have your own car to drive around Melbourne. I drove over in March and it cost me around $70 - $80 each trip but now that petrol prices have gone up again and if I was going now it would have cost me $80-$100 one way. If you don't know Melbourne then it might be better to go by plane and travel around using their Trams. Like I said I was there during March with the Commonwealth Games (As a volunteer looking after one of the Countries) and I found it much easier to use their public transport system. It's alot better than ours here in Adelaide. Just don't get lost like I did the first time I used it. Source(s): A month in Melbourne. Other Travel Tips i dont no but keep in mind the gas prices I would say with the cost of fuel at moment, I would suggest flying over. Check on the internet, and im sure you could find cheap air fares. Dont forget on top of fuel , U also have got wear and tare on the car, and always have more money put aside for any inncidentals that may go wrong during the journey. It's cheaper to fly...i think it's around $60 1 way www.jetstar.com.au It is cheaper to fly. |
