Travel Info Going to be in Melbourne October 7th and 8th. What should I see? Anything in particular going on? Travel Tips At the Melbourne Town Hall, you'll be able to catch a concert including 'Carmina Burana' by Carl Orff and Stravinsky's 'Symphony of Psalms' on the 7th. The next morning, you can check out the Sunday Market out the front of the Arts Centre or wander through the Queen Victoria market, the biggest open-air market in the southern hemisphere. Take a guided tour of the spectacular Federation Square at either 11am or 2pm on Saturday or check out the horses at Flemington Racecourse for the Turnbull Stakes, which is run that day. That's also the weekend of our own Oktoberfest at the European Bier Cafe. I would also recommend a visit to the Docklands precinct.
