Im planning to move to melbourne but I just dont know where the best suburb is? |
Travel Info Im actually looking for a nice are close to amenities life restaurants and transport, not very expensive but not crapy either.... can someone give mi a brief description about the suburbs Travel Tips St Kilda is a great area, very lively, next to the sea, short tram ride from the city centre. I've lived there myself and hope to again someday. Fitzroy is my second choice - a bit more bohemian, but the locals are a bit up themselves if you know what I mean, they think they're so cool because they live there, but it does have a lot to offer. Depends what you want I suppose. Melbourne is a great city. If you go to the Melbourne Age (newspaper) website and click the Domain tab you can check rentals online, it's a good service. Others St. Kilda, period. Besides being right on the water with a gorgeous beach, it has reataurants, night life, and is on a direct tram fo downtown Melbourne. If you want something in the eastern suburbs, you'd probably be best going for Hawthorn which has a nice, relaxed feel. Brunswick's good in the north, if you don't mind the urban-hip feel. In the west, go for somewhere like Seddon or Footscray, which are nowhere near as crappy as they used to be and are still quite affordable. Are you blonde? Why would anyone want to move to Melbourne? |
