Travel Info Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows anything about Melbourne ?? Travel Tips 1) HUGE SPORT - The australian open (tennis) is played in Melbourne and the city has numerous sporting facilitys 2) BEACHES - Close to several world class beaches 3) SHOPPING - Shops and malls full of designer clothes and cheap bargins. Melbourne is Australias shopping destination. 4) TRAMS - Historic trams run through the centre of the city Others What would u like to know? Firstly the weather there is extremely changeable, going from cold to hot in the space of a few hours (most odd!). There is some cool architecture like the old train station. The city has cable cars to get around by. St Kilda is the fashionable suburb to stay in. U can go on a "Neighbours" tour, to "Ramsay Street". You could also take a day trip along the Great Ocean Road to go to a place called Phillip Island which is the place to view the Fairy Penguins in their natural habitat which was one of my best experiences when i visited Australia. well i live in melbourne so what is it you want to know?
