Travel Tips i think a big thing is learning the language, i think it should be a requirement of migrating here, theres nothing more rude than sitting on a bus or in a shopping mall and having someone looking at you and talking with their friend in their language...i just find it rude...and you also encounter them in shops and banks, and doctors are worse, you cant understand much of what they say, if they want to live and work in australia then they should learn to communicate with us so that we can understand them...thats the only problem i have with migrants. As for you, you only just got here so i would take some time to really learn how we talk so people dont have to keep saying "sorry?, what was that?" Others I am sure that you will have no problems fitting in to Australian life. You may want to be a bit more careful how much personal information you put on this forum. Perhaps you could look up the phone book/internet and see if there are any youth clubs in your area. You might want to take up a sport and join a sporting club. Keep a smile on your face, be confident and I am sure that you will make friends quickly. Indians and Australians share one love..cricket! Why don't you join a local cricket club - this will be a great way to make new friends. Not everyone will be nice to you, but the majority of Australians will be. We are a country of immigrants - with one dream - Australia. I cant help you at 42 . My son is fifteen and may be willing to set up messenger with you If your interested I will ask him What exactly is your problem? Is it that you don't WANT to live there? Or what else? As you're only 15 - my goodness - then you came over with mum and dad I suppose??? Grow up first and then find out what you really want. |
