How to get to ballarat victoria by public transportation? |
Travel Info Hi, I live near caulfield station and I would like to have a visit in ballarat victoria. I have no car and I would like to know how to get there by public transportation in a cheapet way on Sunday. Thank you so much. Travel Tips I think train to Ballarat is cheaper than bus. Sunday time table is pretty bad though Source(s): Used to live in Ballarat Other Travel Tips I think the V-line train will get you there! check out the vic V-line website. I think its pretty pricey any day of the year. I think the Vline train leaves from Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street). It takes around 1hr20 mins depending on which train you catch. Cost is around $34 for an ordinary fare. Hope this helps Train is the easiest way to go but there are also regular bus services. By the way, it is called "transportation" in the USA, it is called "transport" in Australia. "Transportation" is what many of the early settlers in Australia were sentenced to. Go to Caulfield Station and talk to them, they should have a V-Line section there. You will have to go into Southern Cross (the old Spencer St) station and catch the V-Line train out there. You will have to get a special ticket for the V-Line, probably around $10 for a return. V Line is definately the quickest and cheapest - enjoy Ballarat!!! |
