I have applied for Master of applied Commerce at Melbourne University.. is it any good? |
Travel Info I have just done my LLB and want to change my career-path i.e pursue a career in business and study in Australia...plz do help! Travel Tips G'day, Melbourne University is the oldest university in Melbourne and is very well-known for their research studies. However in regards to Commerce/Business studies, all universities in Melbourne have the same quality and recognition Australia and world wide. Therefore the course that you will take in Melbourne Uni has the same standard as the business course offered in Monash, La Trobe, Swinburne, RMIT or Swinburne Unis. Have you got work experience after finishing your LLB? If you haven't, then I suggest you to check the Master of Commerce courses offered by the other university, since the course will give you a much broader study of business/commerce area, and also you can also choose your field of speciality after the core units have been finished. Hope this helps. Good luck and welcome to Melbourne :) Others Melbourne is an excellent university, among the top five in Australia. I don't know about the particular course you are doing but it should be fine. monash uni has better business courses than melbourne Hey, Im in the same situation as you are! and did apply to the same uni too. From what I have gathered, ie speaking to people, etc, Melb uni does have an excellent rep. Business sch-wise, Monash has got better and larger facilities. I guess, its really a matter of weighing out the pros and cons and v dependant on what you want, at the end of the day. It is a tough decision to make. For sure. Ive been accepted to UNSW, Uni of Sydney, as well. So imagine, the headaches I have. Good luck with your studies! :) |
