Anyone flown from Singapore to Melbourne with Singapore airlines? |
Travel Info just curious to know which way you fly into Melbourne, is it through the middle of Austalia, along the bottom or down the sides, going in six weeks and just interested to know what we'll fly over on our way in, thanks. Travel Tips G'day, Depending on the weather you may see: 1. Jakarta. Definitely Java island, the most populated island in Indonesia 2. Broome in Western Australia 3. Maybe Ayers Rock as well 4. The Grampians in Victoria. Again.. it depends on the weather, and what time of they day you are flying. Have a safe trip and welcome to Melbourne :) Others Straight over Central Australia. It takes 7 Hours from Singapore. Singapore Airlines are well good. If you want to ask me anything I will do my best to answer for you. Kind of diagonally through the middle. Grab a map, and it's pretty much a straight line between the two cities. Unlike flying from, say, London to Tokyo where you're flight path will 'bend' towards the north pole, this is not the case so much here as you're starting at the equator. You won't see much, though, if you're flight gets in early morning! (common for flights from the UK/Continental Europe) Live in Ireland, fly to my home town (Melbourne) every so often. You cross the Australian coast at Derby in northwest Western Australia then track south of Alice Springs towards Adelaide . You would turn left at Tailem Bend southeast of Adelaide joining the main Adelaide/Melbourne flight path. Singapore airlines are the best. You get fantastic quality service and the entertainment systems on board are great |
