How much is the rent in melbourne? |
Travel Info We are planning to shift to melbourne but have no idea about the rent there. Some say its very expensive . so pls help me. Travel Tips G'day, It depends which suburbs you want to live in. My suggestion is to find a place very close to where you are going to work as a start. Once you know the place, locate them in the map (www.whereis.com.au). Find the surrounding suburbs and then enter them in the real-estate websites (www.domain.com.au and www.realestate.com.au). Hope this helps. Good luck on the move and welcome to Melbourne. Others Depends on where your looking at. try domain.com.au or realestate.com.au I'm doing the same thing. For what I've seen, the eastern and south eastern suburbs are the most expensive, along to those nearby the CBD. For a 3 bedroom house they ask between 600-800 AU$ a week. I know a good hostel where you can stay in Richmond near Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens. It's called - The Freeman Lodge. It's very homey and clean (in the meantime while looking for an apartment). You can also search in Camberwell - someone I met when I was in Melbourne found a cheap apartment in that area. Was in Melbourne last October. Dont forget that Melbourne has a fantastic public transport system, which is very efficient compared to other cities in OZ. Even if you are living 20-30 km out of the city, you can find cheaper accomodation and also have public transport on your doorstep. You might want to give more info as to what your budget and work location are so we can help you further. |
