Where can I buy electronic equipment in Melbourne (best deals)? |
Travel Info I'll be relocating soon and I need to buy all the appliances since the voltage is different than in my home country of Venezuela Travel Tips Harvey Norman is a good store, but there are many. If you like when you get here I will take you there or any other store you like to shop for the stuff you will buy. You can buy adapters though so you may be able to use some of your old equipment still. email me if you like i will help you. johnk162@yahoo.com.au Welcome to our country, I think you'll like it here. Others Well, for electrical whitegoods (e.g. refrigerators, washing machines), The Good Guys is are pretty decent, and they give a discount if you pay in cash. Retravision doesn't often have the best price, but in my experience they're very good for service and support. For blackgoods (e.g. televisions, stereos) JB Hi-Fi is going to be one of your best bets. Some of the larger, budget chain stores (e.g. Target, Big W, K-Mart) can have some pretty good deals, too. Whatever you do, stay away from Panasales. They advertise on television quite a lot, but I've had a very bad experience with them, and so has my mother, and some of my friends. They sell rubbish seconds, and as soon as they have your money they don't want to have anything more to do with you. If you are going to be out brunswick or out dandenong ways there is a seconds dealer who has fantastic sales and i have brought everything from them. they are in pams guide and you will need that when you get to melb it is like the bible for shopping. welcome and enjoy |
