Anyone traveled to Mexico?

my boyf and I are going to Mexico for 3 months, anyone got any tips, good places to visit that may not be in lonely planet etc, also we have been looking in to volunteer work but the placements I have found online are a bit too expensive for us, is volunteer work easy to find once you get there? any tips or Mexico, Belize central america, would be great!! *iglesia de santo domingo (its the most beautiful church i've seen in my life... and if you go... you will agree with what i just said)

*el arbol del tule (one of the biggest if not the biggest and oldest tree in the world)
*Mitla
*Hierve el Agua
*OAXACA IS THE ONLY STATE THAT HAS BLACK POTTERY (IT ORIGINATED THERE) AND IF YOU SEE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE IN MEXICO... IT WAS EXPORTED FROM OAXACA... they have the secret... to making black pottery... its beautiful.. try san bartolo coyotepec.

GREAT FOOD IN OAXACA ALSO....
all i got to say... U CAN FIND EVERYTHING... I MEAN EVERYTHING IN OAXACA.
