Protesters didn't actually get the chance to throw eggs at Calderon because he managed to avoid them by sneaking out through a back door.

The one that did get egged was Florencio Salazar, which is the Secretary of Agrarian Reform. The reason is, some claim he used funds of the Department to fund Calderon's campaign.
