Do i need a passport to go to mexico or just my birthcertificate? |
Travel Info im going to mexico city and there are people telling me i need a passport and then there are people who say i dont need one i just need my birthcertificate? Travel Tips No currently FOR ALL US CITIZENS: Travel documents to Mexico is: either valid Passport or Government photo issued ID card with a State issued Certified Birth Certificate you must have both if you are not using a passport After holiday travel January 8th or end of December 2006 ALL US CITIZENS must have a valid passport to come in and out of the USA. I am a travel agent and this is standard for all my clients and with US Customs and immigration. People are having problems when they are just traveling on birth certificate and not government photo issued ID or vise versa. Or documents that are not certified or the original.
