Just a tidbit: About a year ago, in commemoration of the famous chracter and its creator, the mexican government issued intl stamps with his picture on it. Upon arriving into the United States, the African American community was in an uproar claiming that the character was demeaning, The exagerration of the size of his lips and nose was "clearly" a means to "poke fun" at black people.
