Where should I enter mexico at?

I would say: from LA go to Tucson, AZ, if you have time go through San Diego. Then, from Tucson, cross through Nogales and go to Hermosillo, then Guaymas/San Carlos...you can stop there to eat seafood and go to the beach. Then go south to Sinaloa, first Los Mochis, then Mazatlan (you can stop here also). Then go to Tepic, the Mazatlan-Tepic drive is quite long but very scenic. From Tepic go to Guadalajara, make sure you take the "toll" route, otherwise you would have to cross the sierra. You can stop at Guadalajara for a couple of days if you have time, it's a really nice city. From Guadalajara try to make it to Queretaro, and stop there cause there's a lot to see. You can get to Mexico City from Queretaro in about 3 hours. Enjoy! |
