How can I get from Mexico City to Gautemal City by bus and how much will it be?

I tried to check for flights but I thinks its about $300 one way, which is expensive

As far as I know, you need to get to Tapachula first, then you can take TicaBus for about $15 to Guatemala City.

There are several domestic lines that will take you to Tapachula.
