Travel Info Does anyone know the monthly cost of living in nice area of Mex City not including rent? Travel Tips Food is really cheap compared to other cities, transportation is akick in the butt, entertainment is like any major city in the states (it's the biggest city in all Latin America). Not considering rent, you'll still have to pay premium for insurance, for insecurity is a major problem there despite the governments efforts to make it safer there. You'll spend at least $8,500.00 MXP (Mexican Pesos) for a regular lifestyle. Even though you could live like the poor people with very little (around $1,000.00 MXP a month for a whole family) I wouldn't recommend it because it would be very dangerous to get involved in a lifestyle like that. You'd enjoy buying in the "fayuca" markets, because everything is super extra cheap (though it might be stolen) So start saving but enjoy your staing in "La ciudad mas chingona del mundo" |
