Travel Info Has anyone spent time in Taxco, Mexico? If so, what are some good restaurant tips,hotels, shopping? Travel Tips I live in Mexico...and visited Taxco last year. The city is very tiny...it's actually a pueblito (small town). The best shopping is not directly in the center, but in the back streets to the left of the cathedral (if you are directly facing it). Most items there are packaged as sets....matching earrings and pendants. All pieces are sold as bulk or individual. So, if you want to save money, buy in bulk (3 pieces or more) and you will save between 10-20%. The rule of restaurants in Mexico is look for people (not tourists). If a restaurant is packs with locals, then you know the food is really good. Have fun! Taxco is beautiful. Others id="askers-rating">
