The Paseo De La Reforma District in Mexico City? |
Travel Info Please tell me all about what this area is like, I will be staying at the Marquis Reforma, supposedly in this area, for 4 days. Travel Tips Many streets that cross Reforma have access to a lot of restaurants or clubs. The area is one of the cleanest parts of the city, as the rest of it is very dirty. There are many museums in Reforma, the Museo Nacional de Antropologia e Historia being the most important one. Not too far from Marquis Reforma, the avenue gives access to Polanco, one of the poshier neighbourhoods in Mexico City. One of the main avenues in Polanco is called Presidente Mazaryk and you will find all sorts of restaurants, bars and clubs. Polanco has it's risks but it is not nearly as dodgy as other parts of the city, and you can find nightlife very easily. The area has some dodgy people, don't worry too much about it, just stay smart and don't do anything you wouldn't do at home, for example, don't follow strangers anywhere, don't go around flashing your camera, cel phone, waiving money around, etc. Look confident and never give the impression you are lost, even if you are. Act smart, and don't miss on the Voladores de Papantla to the side of the Museo Nacional de Antropologia e Historia right there on Reforma, they are awesome!!! Others id="askers-rating"> |
