Is Mexico city Dangerouse?

Travel Tips
It is as bad as any US City. there are places you go and places you don't. For people visiting Mexico it very nice. the people are more than helpfull and Ther are also policia turistica. wich ar police that help visiters. Some places you should not go are Tepito and La Mersed, these places are some of the worst of the city. full of prostitution and drugs. not to mention organized crime. It is like being in the bronks NY. just dont go there.
Others
It can be. Garibaldi Square, where the Mariachi bands play, is very dangerous. If you are out anywhere late at night, don't go out alone. The State Department advises that you only take with you the cash and credit cards you need that day. Don't carry around expensive jewelry, and use the sitio cabs, The green volkswagen cabs are targets of robbery.
If you are refering to the Capital City (Mexico City), yes it is dangerous but so are other big cities like Guatemala City, Belize, Chicago, New York and many more around the World. The two people above me are right about what they are saying.
Enjoy and take care :)
It was unless they have cleaned up their act.
