Looking 4 nice, romantic, private place 2 go on vacation w/Fiancee in FLORIDA.No wild party place,suggestions? |
Travel Info My fiancee and I have been working TOO much. We need a vacation, I want to surpise him and take him to a nice romantic, private beachy place, just for US. Do you know of any nice places for couples only, prefferably in FLORIDA? Travel Tips I would check out places between Tampa and Ft. Meyers. Sanibell Island would be nice as would Boca Grande. These aren't couples only, but they are not party spots either. Boca Grande is a very quite fishing town. A couple of bars, some great food. Not much else. Good Luck. Others Sanibel Island Well all the romantic places around the beaches are all party places in florida. South Beach, Daytona Beach, Panama Beach, Key West is pretty nice so you could try there. There's this resort off the coast of Fort Myers called Sanibel that is just gorgeous... very relaxing. It can also be pretty expensive, so if that's a consideration, this is probably not your best answer. In addition, Key West has some great resorts. I like the Banyan. But this isn't very beachy. Also, Clearwater, just north of Tampa has some nice stuff, but it's not as secluded or exclusive (or quiet) as Sanibel. Even in Key West you can find a snorkeling trip or fishing trip that gets you away from the bustle. (I see we're all giving you west coast suggestions... I guess it's because the Gulf is warmer than the Atlantic that I prefer the west coast of Florida... also because you get sunsets over the water... very romantic.) Just got back, The Santa Maria Resort and Marina, Estero Blvd, Estero. Its right befoe Ft. Myers Beach, huge pool, Condo type rooms, sauna, hot tubs. There is a trolley that picks you up, on street, where sign is. Goes up and Blvd, will go as far as main center of town. Shops, eateries, for great pizza, Dockside, side street, under bridge!! Try South Beach Grille, plaza near the Hotel, great Happy Hour!!! Very nice place, third time there!!!! Anna Maria Island is in the Sarasota-Bradondton area. It is a beautiful beach, also super secluded. Not commercialized what so ever. Perfect spot for romance. My husband and I love this place. Most rentals are beachfront and offer all ammenities. Some have private pools. Last time we stayed at Shadytrees. It is located across the street from the Gulf. It is not a glamorous place, but oh so nice and quaint. I hope this helps you.
