What to do for Superbowl Sunday in Miami? |
Travel Info A group of us are going to Miami for Superbowl Sunday. What are some good places where we can hang out and enjoy the whole SuperBowl experience? Where do they tape the pregame shows? Originally we wanted to tailgate at the stadium, but found it is in B.F.E. and we probably couldn't get in anyway without a ticket. We now plan to just go downtown or to South Beach. Travel Tips Unlike the ignorance of some ... South Beach is not "gay" central. It has some pretty cool places to go like Nikki Beach Club (night club scene in Fast and Furious 2)... Crobar is a cool club. If you looking to see beautiful woman dancing on bar (Latin coyote ugly) no cover and good food. If you want a smaller club and not to expensive go to Club Deep on 6th and Washington. Plenty of hot spots but to watch the game .... and hang with the guys .... (if only dudes are going) ..... Tootsies Cabaret.... It has something like 40 Plasmas, 4 Giant Screens, pool tables, and best of alll boobies !!!! As far as the pre game show ... they never say where but as a Miami native ... If the News station say something.... I'll post it here Others south beach is gay central.. stay away dude.. I love Miami, but any big weekend like that is going to be so crowded in any of the big bars. If you try to hang in any of the big sports bars you will have trouble getting a drink. But there is one area you could try, it's only a few blocks from South beach, very walkable, a really nice street with smaller bars and restaurants and some small art studios. It's called ESPANOLA WAY. You can find it on Maquest or Google Earth to see how close it is to the beach. I think you will love it. There is a wonderful French Pastry Restaurant for the morning after that is to die for that opens early. Yum. my source is me Any of the dozens & dozens of bars on SoBe will have the Superbowl & all the pre-game shows on their giant screens. They tape pre-game shows at the tv studios; the Dolphins own video facility & in whatever hotels they can make a deal with. Dude, fire up the grill and get your mates to come around. Otherwise you'll be sitting in your car fighting traffic all weekend. |
