HELP!! I need a hotel on the beach in the Keys, FL? |
Travel Info Sooo....my hubby is getting his R&R. Back from Iraq for 2 weeks and gotta make it awesome. He wants a hotel on the beach and I want something real nice. Not just another hotel with floral bedding and no space. Anywhere in the Keys, it doesnt have to be West. We want to be able to walk to the beach and have a private balcony overlooking the ocean. Please only reply if you stayed there. Thanks so much! Travel Tips Try Islamorada, Florida. It is a more secluded area, yet traveling time is much less because it is not nearly as distant as Key West. There are many excellent places to stay in Islamorada. One that I recommend in particular is called the Caribbean Resort. It is very private with a beautiful dock and swimming lagoon and lots of space to relax! It is right on the water, with a beautiful view. Depending on where you stay there, you can have a beautiful porch overlooking the water. I think the place I stay at changed names, because I don't see it on this list. The hotel had private cottages with ocean views. Best Western, Key Ambassador Resort Inn, 800-432-4315. Have a great time...... Marathon has some nice little cottages on the beach motels. The further South you go,the more congested it becomes. Lived on Big Pine Key in the 80's. It's getting more commercial every year. |
