Travel Info Are their tornadoes in Miami? Travel Tips There was a tornado in Miami in 1997. I know I saw it as part of a special on The Weather Channel. It stuck with me because I remember a bus driver holding on for dear life when it hit. It was an F1. You need to check out the site below - AWESOME pictures. No, they don't happen often. Waterspouts are more prevalent - tornadoes that form over water. I watched one a few years back in Destin as it formed and then moved slowly to the beach where it died pretty quick. Other Travel Tips Um... they're not unheard of I don't think so if your asking are there ever tornadoes in miami......the answer is yes......if you are asking are there tornadoes in miami right now .......then no there are tornadoes everywhere, some places are rarer than others. hurricanes seem to me more prominent in Miami though. I wouldn't rule out the occasional tornado though, it does happen. And hurricanes can cause tornadoes too. tornado's,Texas Oklahoma ,Kansas they call it tornado alley earthquakes,California and Oregon and Mexico. hurricanes ,Florida,Alabama,south and north Carolina. |
