Travel Info
i am in miami right now trying to score some tix and have a good time. i have a hotel in bal harbour and would like to know a few things: is Little havanna the best "deal" in Miami for food and drink? if so where should i go for the best cuban sand and a great watering hole? what do you think are my chances are for getting tix right before or during the 1 qtr of the game? any spots i should hit before leaving, so i can get the "true" Miami experience? thanks for your input.

Travel Tips
Sure little Havana has good places to eat get on Flagler st and you'll see tons of diffrent Latin American resturants...My favorite is Bongos cuban cafe Next to the triple A (where the Miami Heat play) in Downtown Miami (601 Biscayne Blvd. Miami, Florida
tel: 786.777.2100)
while in Downtown walk around and shop....then go to South Beach and bounce from club to club (all the good stuff happens after 1am) The next morning go to the beach enjoy the views take a swim have a bite to eat at a shop by the beach....As far as SuperBowl tickets strongly doubt it...If you have enough money rent a jetski or go down to the keys... watch the game on tv it's better.....

Superbowl tickets are going for about a thousand dollars minimum for crappy seats. Then you gotta get there. SoBe is ALWAYS the place to go, but much of it is so jammed this week that it's simply not worth the effort. Fortunately you are in Bal Harbour & that is probably the best place to reach SoBe from right now. If you're taking a car be advised that Ocean Drive is closed & Collins, the Macarthur casuseway & various other streets are subject to periodic closing due to crowding & asshole celebs who have to travel in limo convoys with bodyguards. The valet parkers are now charging $40.00 to park your car; (thats the charge, not including the $5-$10 tip -- it may be more by tonite which is expected to party supernite). Little Havana is probably the sanest place in the city right now. The most "Miami atmosphere" of Cuban restaurants is the Versailles -- but it tends to be crowded. People differ on the "best" Cuban sandwiches, but I like those from a chain called "Latin American." Others like the "la Carreta" chain. Cuban sandwiches are not worth crossing a street for.
I doubt Super Bowl tix , People are coming from all over the country and parts of Canada and Puerto Rico to see it . Go to La Palma on SW 61st Ave & Tamiami Trail/Calle Ocho/Sw 8th St/US-41 . Also on Sw 8th St , (East of Douglas Rd) is one of the La Carreta Restaurants . One of the Latin American Restaurants is on Sw 107th Ave & Coral Way (and another in South Miami Heights On Sw 184th St/Eureka Dr , Between The Turnpike and the Sw 115th Ave Traffic Light , across from Advance Auto Parts ) . STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH BEACH , IT'S NASTY !!! Go To The Falls , Dolphin Mall , Miami International Mall , The Falls , Southland Mall , Dadeland Mall , Key Largo (Pet a Manatee ) , Check out The Dolphin Expressway Extension being Made West of the Turnpike and can be seen from Nw 12th St Where Nw 12th St will go West (With the Dolphin to the Right) and Turn Southward onto Nw 137th Ave . Good Luck , Stay away from the Ghettos .
