Will have a 7 hour layover in Miami, what short term things can I enjoy while waiting for cruise to leave? |

Travel Tips You will want to stay near the port if you are going on a cruise as traffic can be crippling and you don't want to miss your ship. A 7-hour layover isn't as long as it sounds in Miami. There are some nice options, however, if you are flying in to MIA. Check out BAYSIDE where you will find shopping, dining, entertainment, and people. It is always a happening place. You can also catch a water taxi there that will take you on a short water cruise of Miami and the beach. If you are into bargain shopping and you arrive on a weekday or Saturday, spend some time in the downtown district. There are hundreds of shops that cater to international tourists and you can usually find some pretty amazing bargains, but don't forget to negotiate. You could also check out Parrot Jungle, a tropical zoo and entertainment complex or hop on over to South Beach where decadence is at your fingertips around every corner. Just be sure to leave plenty of time to get back to your ship or you will be waving from the docks. Good luck and have a great time.
