Traveling to MIAMI?

I'm going to Miami for the first time in May. I've never been there nor know someone down there. I was wondering where should i stay at. There's like North Miami beach and south Beach.. Where is a good place to go down there and stay? I'm young so I want to go somewhere fun not too family oriented since I don't have any kids. Thanks.

Travel Tips

North Miami Beach is an inland suburb that has little of interest to visitors. Miami Beach is the famous tourist city that occupies the lower eight miles of a barrier island just off the coast of Miami. "South Beach" is the lower 2-3 miles of that & the most popular area for visitors -- especially young ones -- is the eastern edge of that along the beach. Prices are high there however, so many younger people on tight budgets stay in North Beach or in Sunny Isles or even Hollywood or Ft. lauderdale. Suggest you get a guidebook & map & do some reading.

Miami is the best place ever!!! I live there and love it! I say, stay near the beaches! It is so much fun and the sunsets are beautiful. Also you can go to Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale, and Sawgrass Mills Malls. It is the best here! And i'm sure you'd love to come back!! Have fun! And when you do go, tell me how it is..... or give me a visit since my b-day is in May... and it just so happens school lets out! lol =]
