Is the Grove still a popular place to hang out? |
Travel Info I used to live in Miami during the 1990s. Back then, the Grove was a popular hang out spot (mainly for young people) on weekends. Is it still the same? Or has it died down? Travel Tips It's alright. I think it's fun for when you don't feel like going to an all-out club. There's Oasis for hookah and chilling out, Sandbar and Tavern are always fun, and the food is still always good. It's not considered the best place to go, but people still go. Especially on college school nights like Tuesday (which is the new Thursday) because it's so close. Other than that, it seems like the nightclubs there (Vision specifically) is a bit ghetto and there's some clubs where you definitely notice an older crowd (which makes it awkward if you're in college). Others it's still a popular hangout on thursday nights, a few new restaurants and there's a coyote ugly bar...still very much a college crowd though... It's still a great place to walk around and hangout night or day. You'll see all ages now. I wouldn't go there for clubs, but to eat and shop, or go to the movies. Jaguar next to Cocowalk (just past the Gap) on Grand Ave. is a great place to eat . The menu is a mix of Mexican and Peruvian. |
