I'm moving to Miami, Fl. What are the prices of everything I will need? |
Travel Info My boyfriend and I are both juniors in high school. We are looking to rent an apartment and attend college in Miami, Fl. I want to know the prices of rent, utilites, food, gas etc. We will both have jobs and this ( of course ) will be our first time renting. We'll both be 18 and moving from Texas. Any LEGIT advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Travel Tips Gas prices is on the rise here Miami. They flucutate so in a few months it will be back down. The apartments in Miami are very pricey and many of them are not in the greatest. A one bedroom ranges between 600 to 900 depending on where you go. Efficiencies are the the cheapest but are usually for one person. My advice on renting for the first time is to check everything before you rent and before you move in. If you find problems, take pictures, make a list and have the landlord sign it. That way you won't be charged when you move out. Anytime, the apartment has issues, inform the landlord in writing so you have proof. When you move out, make sure you take pictures and do a walk through so you will not get bogus charges. You can go to www.craigslist.com to get an idea of apartment prices and jobs available. Also www.apartmentguide.com and careerbuilder. There are good places to shop like publix and walmart. Certain things are cheaper at walmart. Publix sometimes have a buy two for price of one or buy one get one free on certain things. Winn Dixie has deal and usually has coupon papers nearly every week. Good luck Others Go onto www.city-data.com for answers The cost of living in Miami is HIGH! |
