Considering moving From Atlanta, Ga to Miami, Fla.? |
Travel Info Im originally From Nyc and my job relocated me to Atlanta and live in Buckhead. I have been in Atlanta since 2000, and the city has changed quite a bit. Some Positive, some Negative. Me being a single guy, have seen the nightlife drastically decline in Atlanta since the bars now close at 230am. I have some friends that have been pushing me to move to South Beach, and swear that its one of the best cities for nightlife and a single man's dream! I would like to know if there is anyone else that has lived in Atlanta that made a similar move?? Also, would like some feedback from the single guys in Miami and how they like it. I would probably move to a condo in south beach, and would like any advice possible. Thank you in Advance, Mike Travel Tips Miami's nightlife is definitely superior to many cities in the United States - some places are even open nearly 24 hours long. South Beach is definitely a part of Miami that never sleeps, but beware, it is because there's always an influx of tourists in the area. If you don't mind tourists and the constant partying that they come into the area for, then you'll be at home in South Beach, and you'll be impressed by how cosmopolitan, diverse, and energetic Miami may be, especially when comparing with Atlanta. There's more diverse little neighborhoods that you could have a different adventure if you wish it so, just a few miles away from where you may be standing in Miami. But I hope you like multiculturalism, multipluralism, multilingualism, multi-anything or you won't enjoy Miami. There's a downside to such multiculturalism and whatever else. For example, because of Miami not being a homogeneous city, you will not find a lot of literary culture due to such a varied market that may not excel in written English. This doesn't mean that there are no bookstores or any literary culture. It just means you have to find where they're hidden. Collectively, the literary culture may be sizeable if you add the Spanish literary culture, Haitian Creole / French and whatever else. Others Don't Do it i m moving to miami too..ill be there in the summer... lots of culture there.. datz all wht i hear...... well hopefully i will like it.. You sound like a first class narcissist. SoBe will be ideal for you. But you'd better have a good job or a sizeable trust fund; SoBe can be expensive. |
