Travel Info 1st time trip to Miami for both. My wife loves Art Deco and deserves nice trip after nursing me following severe car crash. Suggest best examples of styles including interiors? Hotel ideas appreciated. Both love all sorts of music - ideal places to visit? Travel Tips There are numerous guidebooks & art books. If you can't get them where you live, you can at Books & Books, on Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach. There are significant Deco buildings throughout Miami & Miami Beach, but the designated architectural historical area runs from 23d St. south between Washington ave & the beach, extending westward to Alton Rd at Lincoln Rd, & then down to about 5th St. It is a couple of sq. miles, mostly within walking distance . This is also the main restaurant, club & entertainment area. Others Is this trip inspired by last night's "Grand Designs" by any chance? I go to Florida every year, and will try to visit the houses & hotels shown on the prog. Have a lovely time! |
