Good clubs and bars in Miami? |
Travel Info Going to Miami with a couple of girlfriends in August. No idea where to go for good clubs/bars and also good food...do you know of any? Travel Tips Alright. If you're headed to the Grove, there's a great tapas-style restaurant right in Cocowalk - Cafe Tu Tu Tango. It's on the second floor and if you're facing the Cocowalk, it's on the right side below Hooters. Great food if you're starting out the night. Wet Willies is an already mixed drink bar, so it's good for a quick drink, but there are some distasteful guys who will loudly comment on how hot you are. And that's not always fun? But just around the corner and down the way (the area is called Mayfair) is a lounge called Oxygen. It's still full of guys who are a bit old, but it has great sushi and it's not hard to get a free drink. Make nice with the bartenders - they're extremely fun! They serve complimentary strawberries & (cheap) champagne in the VIP! Then there's Greene Street. Classy and the food is excellent - if a bit pricey. It's not unaffordable. And they have this amazingly cute sitting area where you can lounge on couches while having a drink and eating appetizers. Very chic. If you're headed to South Beach, check out a few of the hotels. Setai is one of the hottest spots to chill out at a bar, grab a bite, and mingle. Expensive hotel = extra class. Mansion's more of a nightclub. No food. It's worth checking out because people have heard of it, but it's almost overrated for all the talk. Still a fun night and tons of glamour. Try Prive or Opium Garden. They're great places to go dancing and drinking. High class and such - but hard to get into if you don't have an ID that's legit. Make sure your ID is good if it's a fake and keep in mind that fakes are illegal in FL. A place I've heard of is the Ice Bar? I'm not sure if this is what it's called exactly, but you can only stay for about 15 minutes. You must buy a drink. The drinks are pricey, but it's supposed to be worthwhile. This was the bar featured in the 007 movie, Die Another Day - everything's made out of ice and they give you a coat when you go in. Get on that waitlist. Have fun! Others go to wet willies and fat tuesday also mangos, clevander go to club mansion, opuim, space, nikki beach, etc have fun I go there a lot and love the nightlife out there. Mansion Opium (highly recommend this place beautiful on the inside) Crobar Miami (very diverse crowd but everyone is really friendly) Most of the nightclubs are located on Washington so you won't have to travel to far to find something. There are some good bars/outdoor lounges on Ocean Dr. Either way you will have a good time Miami is beautiful and the people are friendly.
