Where are the best places to shop & eat in Miami?? |
Travel Info i'm going in september & was wondering where the best places are to eat & shop?? Travel Tips The best places to shop are Dadeland Mall, Sawgrass Mills, The Falls, The Shops at Sunset Place, Cocowalk, The Village of Merrick park and Dolphin Mall. As far as food is concerned there are some very good Cuban cafes in Miami. Try Latin America at Bayside Marketplace(also a great place to shop) or Versailles Cuban restaraunt in Coral Gables on 8th street ( aka Calle Ocho). On South Beach try News Cafe or China Grille. Bongo's next to the American Airlines Arena is also a good place to eat and party. It's owned by Gloria Estefan and her husband Emillio. Check out www.miamiandbeaches.com for more info. Source(s): I moved to Miami in 1979 when I was 2 yrs old and just left last year. Other Travel Tips The best spot for one-stop shopping and eating is Lincoln Road on Miami Beach (South Beach). Great outdoor cafes. Great shops. Even better people watching. Not to mention the fact that Lincoln Road goes from Biscayne Bay to the Beach. So, you can eat, shop, and tan all at once. What MIA24/7 said. Man, I miss Miami!!! Have fun on your trip! Miami native living in NC. Bal Harbour is definitely a must see. Merrick Park is very nice and upscale as well. It's the "newest" mall in Miami. The Villagio Italian restaurant there is very good. The locals frequent Dadeland Mall, The Falls, and Sunset Place. All three are nice and more affordable than Merrick Park and Bal Harbour. But actually I recommend CocoWalk which has a very vibrant, lively feel to it. Le Bouchon du Grove in CocoWalk is a delicious French restaurant. It has very authentic cuisine. Bypass Dolphin Mall, it's nothing special. And Sawgrass is more for outlet stores. Instead try Aventura Mall. Miami native :) |
