Miami for 21st birthday.. Questions?? |
Travel Info I am from South FL but I really haven't been to south beach for clubbing.. well once.. but I am going down there so my 21st b-day and I'm excited! But I wasn't sure what to wear?? I have a mini dress (you can see it a little bit in my 360 photo.) How dressy is south beach?? And I wanted my makeup done by Mac. I beleive they have a mac-store in South Beach?? Doesn't anyone know how much it cost to have makeup done? And of course, everyone's favorite place to go? How snobby are the clubs? I want to be taken care of (very well) for my birthday and I'm scared it will be too snobey? And last, anyone know any places on Key Biscayne for boat/jet ski rentals?? I used to live on Key Biscayne and wanted to visit. Travel Tips There's a Sephora in Dadeland Mall with MAC and all other sorts of makeup brands that you can get a makeover in for free. Just let them know what you want. Dress up in something extremely hot and in style. Be tan and such. White strips, etc... Try something flashy or dark (Miami's about chic and your mini might be too floral for the dark club-head nightlife scene) Try Mansion if you really want the hottest, most well-known spot. They'll take care of you, but make reservations, probably get a table (you'll need maybe 6 people to make it worthwhile and be prepared to spend a lot), and they'll bring out some good things. Call in advance. Opium Garden and Prive are similar and just as chic. Nikki Beach is really laid-back, so unless you don't care about the glamour that you read about, then you could go there. Others ill only help u for makeup go to M.A.C it will be 50$ and later when u get it done u can buy makeup with that money bring a lot of people...safety in numbers! Miami can be dangerous if you don't know your way around....don't dress like a **** guys down there will take advantage of you...be careful....it's not that bad just don't make it obvious that you're not from there So. Beach is filled with scammers South beach isn't very dress, many clubs let you in with sandles like Nikki Beach most so beach clubs are very dress down. but check with the club you want to go to. Most party invitations have a dress policy. Mansion is the best. Prive and Opium Garden are right up there. Nikki Beach USED to be good, but has gone downhill. A lot of people like Beds for the atmosphere, but the service isn't all there. The dress is whatever, don't look like a hooker or you will be treated accordingly. (That's the worst thing about South Beach, guys swear they can buy the girls there.) On a better note though, I will say paying for drinks is a rare thing if you are a pretty girl. And about the makeup, if you go to the mac store or a mac counter in a department store, they will do your makeup for free if you buy something. Just don't waste the sales persons time and walk out with just a lipstick. have fun! everybody loves miami. |
